Welcome to the Music Department Washington Technology Magnet has a wide variety of music classes for students of all levels of experience and performance abilities. For students who do not wish to participate in Band or Choir, there is General Music and Music Technology, with our Piano Lab being the envy of many visiting college students, to say nothing of the other Junior and Senior High Schools in the Twin Cities. Our Band and Choir programs are considered to be near the top of all of the Junior Highs in the Metro area, and we feel that we are closing in on many of the High Schools, too. Our philosophy about being part of a technology magnet is that we don't teach technology as a separate course but instead, we use it in every class to teach that subject and to let the students learn more and more quickly, and to explore their talent and potential in ways they could never have imagined.
