Washington 8th Graders Go To College!
On Thursday, September 25, 2008 all of the 8th graders at Washington had the chance to visit one of ten colleges. The visits were coordinated by the Washington Get Ready! program, a college preparation initiative of the State of Minnesota Office of Higher Education. Students visited with college students, toured campuses, and found out what they needed  | | Washington students at Dunwoody Institute |
to do now to start preparing for college. The colleges visited included the University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-Stout, St. John's University, the University of St. Thomas, Concordia College, Dunwoody Institute, Saint Paul College, Gustavus Adolphus College, Century College, and Metropolitan State University. Students here are pictured visiting the Raptor Rehabilitation Center and new Equine Center at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
