Reading Teacher

            Hello and welcome to Washington Technology Magnet School.   I grew up in St. Cloud Minnesota and I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at St. Cloud State University. I went on to teach in a year round school in Denver, Colorado where I also received my Masters degree in Education, from the University of Denver.  From Colorado, we moved to Pennsylvania where I taught in the Lab School at Shippensburg State University and also received my Reading Specialist Certification.  After my daughter and son were born, we moved back to Minnesota.  I have 25 years of teaching experience, with 15 years in the St. Paul Public Schools. 

            I never have trouble finding something to do in my free time. I have traveled, to many different countries, including a 3-month bike trip through Europe.  I also love hiking in the National Parks with my family.  But one of my favorite places to be is at the Lake, swinging in the hammock, reading a good book.   I am looking forward to learning more about you, as we grow together this school year.
