Washington Students take over Biztown! 4/17/2008 On April
10, 2008, over 60 students from Washington left school behind and took
on roles as business CEOs, government officials, and other community
members at Biztown. Biztown is a program conducted by Junior
achievement where students learn about various roles in the community
and work in a facility where they have to operate an entire city
including operating retail sales, open bank accounts, and even operate
a city government. Students in Ms. Rogers' Business Adventures classes
prepared for the simulation by completing twenty-one lessons in
business operations and financial literacy. We would like to thank
Junior Achievement and volunteers from 3M who helped make this day
possible.
