The Schoolwide Enrichment Program at Washington offers students the
opportunity to be involved in its Gifted/Talented program. Following a
model from the University of Connecticut's Dr. Joseph Renzulli,
students get to use time throughout the school day to pursue their
interests. Students may participate in activities offered by the
program's coordinator, Mr. Cox, or may create projects of their own to
work on. In order to participate students need to be doing satisfactory

in their classes and be up-to-date with their homework.
Washington's Schoolwide Enrichment "flagship" activity involves students in National History Day which focuses on integrating technology into the research
and production of a final history presentation. Students may also
participate in Saint Paul Math League competition, National Geographic
Geography Bee skill building, Destination Imagination training,
Schoolwide Spelling Bee exercises, Stock Market Game involvement,
Lego/Logo  | | State Competitors in National History Day! Bao Vue and Panhia Lee! |
constructions, chess competitions, and more! Students also
have the opportunity to keep Washington as one of the best recycling
buildings in the district by working in small teams to collect paper,
aluminum, and glass products.
Project Enrichment is an elective class offered that allows students to become involved in Schoolwide Enrichment activities which focus on honing research and presentation skills in a variety of formats.
