Our reading program is Read 180. This class meets daily for the entire year. The students spend 25 minutes in direct instruction groups of no more than 8 students, 25 minutes on an individulaized computer program, and 25 minutes in teacher directed novel reading. In reading class, the goals are to identify student needs and strengthen skills so that students experience success in reading and become independent, strategic readers.
