Ms. Lydia Kabaka began her administrative career in St. Paul Public Schools in 2012 at Highland Park Senior High School. During the 2013-14 school year she joined Washington Technology Magnet as the newest member of the administrative team. This school year she will be working with students, staff, and families serving as the 8th and 11th grade Assistant Principal. She is thrilled to be a part of the Washington community and is looking forward to the upcoming school year.
Prior to coming to St. Paul, Ms. Kabaka has had a wide range of experiences in her career as an educator. She has worked in urban and suburban districts in a variety of different capacities for over a decade. Most recently, she served the last 8 years as a school counselor in the Hopkins School District. As part of her academic background, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and completed her Master’s degree from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York. She also received her K-12 Principals License from St. Cloud State University.
