My name is Cheryl Johnson (Cherie) and I am the 9th/10th grade-reading teacher at
Washington. This is my sixth year at Washington but I have taught in an
Educational capacity in the U.S. for 16 years as well as internationally in Rwanda,
Pakistan, and Kenya for more than 20 years.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with Daycare/Preschool/Kindergarten certifications.
I also earned a K-12 English Second Language endorsement from Hamline University and my MA in
Education with a K-12 Reading endorsement from Concordia University.
In my Content Reading class we will focus on building reading skills so that each student will acquire the tools to be lifelong readers. Come join me on this incredible journey!
I currently live in Woodbury. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time
with family, hiking, camping, biking, fishing, cooking, reading and being outside.
