My name is Erin Glas and I have been an ELA teacher at Washington Technology Magnet for 15 years. I have taught 8th grade English, 6th grade Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop, and currently teach 7th grade Reader’s Workshop. I enjoy the diversity at Washington and teaching my students.
I originally wanted to be an Occupations Therapist, but through volunteering at Shriners Hospital I learned that I enjoyed being with kids but not at a hospital. So, I left St Catherine University and went to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities to get my teaching degree. I have a license in K-6 Elementary Education and 5-8 Communication Arts and Literature. I also earned by Master in Education. Switching to education was one of the best decisions of my life.
When I’m not a work, I am home with my family. My husband is also a middle school teacher AND my son just started middle school so we have lots of middle schoolers in our house! I also have a daughter who is in first grade.
If you need to get a hold of me the best method is email: firstname.lastname@example.org. I usually can get back to you in 24 hours. I’m looking forward to another great year at Washington!
