I was born and raised near Saint Paul, Minnesota. I have loved teaching and helping people for as long as I can remember, so I decided when it came time to pick a career, that teaching would be a perfect fit for me. I went to the University of Wisconsin at River Falls (UWRF) and received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  While I was there, I played on the varsity women’s golf team and participatedin many intramural sports and activities on campus. I worked in the Leadership Center and Campus Information Desk to earn extra income while I was at school where I became familiar with all the opportunities that were available on campus. I student taught at Eastern Heights Elementary my last semester of college and that is where I found out about the Get Ready Program. After I graduated from college, I took the job as the Get Ready Education Liaison at Eastern Heights and worked with the fourth, fifth and sixth graders. Now I am at Washington and really enjoy getting to work with the 9th graders and learning about all their interests and goals for the future. It is fun to be a part of such a great school and I am looking forward to many more great years at Washington - Go Eagles!
