Before reading the novel Night students will have group discussions regarding what they already know about the Holocaust.  As a class students will view materials about life for Jewish people in the ghettos, traveling in the cattle cars, survival in the concentration camps, and liberation from the Nazis.  We will then have another group discussion to see what additional information students have learned.
