I was born in Winona, MN and attended Macalester College in St. Paul where I majored in Visual Art. I had always wanted to be a teacher and later went back to school for my teaching license. This is my second year teaching Photography and Media Arts; before coming to Washington I taught Visual Arts at a small charter school in Woodbury. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and son.
